The NX-14 Needler was a type of needler designed to penetrate personal energy shields by firing a sharp, ferroceramic dart. The dart could also be laced with contact poison, delivering the poison to its targets.

Description

Debuted by Golan Arms during the rise of the Galactic Empire, the NX-14 was one of the smallest, most compact needler produced by the company. Palm-sized, the weapon was made of an inert, light-absorbing fibermesh polycarbonate. Its internals were shielded which aided the weapon in being easily concealable and nearly impossible to find when hidden.[1]
