Mykal were flying predators native to the planet Kashyyyk.
Biology and appearance
Mykal had a six-meter wingspan and used their wings to fly above the jungles of Kashyyyk. They had a sharp beak and talons that they used to attack their prey. Their eyes were blood-red and their skin had a blue-gray tint. On top of their head, a curved crest acted as an echo chamber to amplify their screeches.[1]
Behavior
They attacked their prey with sweeping strikes from the air, instinctively avoiding retaliation.[2]
History
The species were eaten by the Wookiees, who considered them a delicacy. However, following the occupation of Kashyyyk by the Galactic Empire, the species' population spiraled out of control.[2]
Behind the scenes
Mykals first appeared in the new Star Wars canon in the 2019 video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.[2] The species originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where they first appeared in the 2003 video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.[3]
