Mubasa sauce was a spicy sauce which could be consumed by members of the Hutt species.[1] It partially shared its name with Mubasa hock, another type of food.[2] In 1 ABY,[3] the Hutt crime lord Jabba Desilijic Tiure ate a live[1] gorg, an amphibious creature[4] which had been coated in mubasa sauce, while he questioned a Trandoshan bounty hunter named Bossk in the Hutt's palace on the planet Tatooine.[1]

Mubasa sauce first appeared in Rebel Force: Renegade, a novel released in 2009 and written by Alex Wheeler.[1]
