Morlas was one of two inhabitable moons—the other being Tho—that orbited the planet Ribento in the Ribento system[3] within the Quence sector. It was located in grid square O-19 of the Standard Galactic Grid, in the Outer Rim Territories[1] and Trailing Sectors.[2]
In 229 BBY,[4] Ribento was attacked by the Nihil pirates. Shortly after the Republic Defense Coalition starship Tractate exited from hyperspace in the system, it turned around to engage the marauders, providing the crewmembers on the ship's bridge with a view of the system's astronomical objects, including Morlas. Jedi Knight Bell Zettifar, who was present on the bridge at that time, mentally noted that the view was glorious despite being obstructed by debris of what he assumed to be outpost stations.[3]
Behind the scenes
Morlas appeared in the 2023 novel The High Republic: The Eye of Darkness, written by George Mann and published as a part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[3] Phase III.[5]
