The Mirkanite Mining Facility was an Imperial mining facility on the planet Mustafar. It was destroyed by the Alliance to Restore the Republic at around the same time as the DS-1 Death Star Mobile Battle Station superweapon[2] in 0 BBY.[1]

Behind the scenes

In the new Star Wars canon, the Mirkanite Mining Facility was mentioned in the 2015 magazine Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon 17.[2] The faciity originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it appeared in the 2006 video game Star Wars: Lethal Alliance.[3]
