- "Rey, be brave."
- ―Miramir
The human female Miramir belonged to a family from the Outer Rim planet Hyperkarn, where she lived with her grandmother for years. During the New Republic Era, Miramir married the strandcast Dathan and gave birth to the Force-sensitive Rey. Miramir left her homeworld and settled on Jakku with her husband and child for a time. She and Dathan were captured and killed by the Jedi hunter Ochi, although not before they succeeded in hiding their daughter from the assassin and his master, the resurrected Sith Lord Darth Sidious.[1]
