Miow Joon, nicknamed the Noodle Peddler, was an alien champion velospeeder rider who worked peddling the noodle-drying rack at the Lomi Usqi Noodle Shop on the world Ueda during his training seasons. He was overqualified for the role but offered his services in exchange for free food and a space to work out. In 132 BBY, Joon was peddling the rack in the shop when the assassin Mae-ho Aniseya confronted the Jedi Master Indara. Joon continued peddling as the pair fought, with Aniseya eventually killing the Jedi.
Biography
Miow Joon worked in the Lomi Usqi Noodle Shop on Ueda during his training seasons.
Miow Joon was an alien velospeeder rider who lived during the High Republic Era and,[1] by 132 BBY,[2] had become a champion in the profession. During his training seasons, he traveled to the world Ueda, where, despite being overqualified for the job, he worked to keep the circular noodle-drying rack spinning at the Lomi Usqi Noodle Shop in Point Ueda. The spinning spaced out the edible strands of noodle in order to prevent them from clumping together while they dried. In exchange for the work, Joon received a space to work out and free food that was packed with carbohydrates. Patrons of the noodle shop prefered Joon to the noisy motor that operated the drying rack in his absense, and the role earned him the nickname "the Noodle Peddler."[1]
In 132 BBY,[2] Joon was in the noodle shop peddling on a perch beside the noodle-drying rack to keep it turning when the assassin Mae-ho Aniseya entered the shop in search of Jedi Master Indara. Aniseya confronted the Jedi and started a bar fight, causing many other patrons to flee. Joon, however, remained on his perch and continued peddling as the fight continued, with the drying rack still turning even as Aniseya threw a throwing knife at[3] the shop's owner, Cabuck,[1] in order to distract Indara. When the Jedi saved Cabuck with the Force, the assassin killed her before leaving the establishment.[3]
Personality and traits
Miow Joon was a burly and muscular individual with athletic biceps that allowed him to grip onto the perch at the Lomi Usqi Noodle Shop. He was willing to do a job he was overqualified for in exchange for free food and a workout space. The alien had primarily gray skin with purple areas around his fingers, nose, ears, and blue eyes.[1]
Equipment
While at the noodle shop, Joon wore a brown canvas working apron.[1]
