Miner's curse

The miner's curse was a disease that infected Katikoot miners, caused by the living minerals found in the Gloam mines. It resulted in slow crystallization of the blood, lungs and other organs of the afflicted individual, which caused a dry cough and discomfort.^[1] In 382 BBY,^[2] Obik Dennisol synthesized a trial cure using the blood of Rillik.^[1]
