Mennar-Daye was a location where the Rebel Alliance had a base in the cave systems. Sometime during the Galactic Civil War, the Galactic Empire's 204th Imperial Fighter Wing fought the rebels at some point prior to the Battle of Endor,[3] which occurred in 4 ABY.[4] Imperial bombers had made runs over the cave systems for days.[3] It later came to have a New Republic presence. The starship Yissira Zyde traveled to the commerce center on Mennar-Daye, where it was screened by Republic authorities.[2]
