A melocot was an entity that could be heavy.[1] In 228 BBY,[2] when the human youngling Zenny Greylark picked up an egg of a Force-consuming Nameless creature in order to lure two of the creatures away from a group of Jedi, she mentally noted that it was heavy and compared its weight to that of a large melocot.[1]
Behind the scenes
A melocot was mentioned in the 2024 junior novel The High Republic: Beware the Nameless, written by Zoraida Córdova and published as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase III.[3]

- ↑ Star Wars: Timelines dates Starlight Beacon's destruction to 230 BBY. As The High Republic: Beware the Nameless takes place one and a half years after the destruction of Starlight Beacon, it must be set in 228 BBY.
