- "New boss at the cantina needs a droid to tend the bar. It's a good job."
"Bar work sounds fine." - ―Maxxon Senn and EV-9D9
Maxxon Senn was a young human who worked on the EV-series supervisor droid EV-9D9 after she spent years powered down in a junkyard following the death of Jabba Desilijic Tiure[1] in 4 ABY.[2] After she was woken with a jolt of energy, Senn bathed her and ran warm oil across her plating, blowing dust out of her couplings, brushing her chassis, mending her joints, and giving her a grand polish. The process made EV-9D9 feel more wonderful than she ever had before and provided her with a sense of quiet.[1]
Upon finishing the job, Senn adjusted his respirator and whistled in admiration of his own work. He then informed the supervisor droid that the new boss of Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina,[1] which was located in the spaceport of Mos Eisley on the planet Tatooine,[3] needed a new droid bartender. He assured her it was good work, and EV-9D9 agreed that it sounded promising.[1] By 9 ABY,[4] she had taken the job.[1]
Behind the scenes
Maxxon Senn appeared in a flashback sequence in the short story "The Key to Remembering," which was written by Olivia Chadha and published in the 2023 anthology From a Certain Point of View: Return of the Jedi.[1]
