Mata was the younger sister of Wo Kasto and a biologist.[1] Around 3625 BBY,[2] Mata joined the Selkath Isolationists following the Invasion of Manaan and the death of her mother at the hands of Krallet Division. However, she left the group a few weeks before the ambush in the Temple of the Progenitor and had been in hiding ever since.[3]

Behind the scenes

Mata was first mentioned in the Galactic Republic mission "Ear to the Water," in the Manaan Daily Area introduced in Game Update 7.1: Digging Deeper, released on August 2, 2022, as part of Star Wars: The Old Republic: Legacy of the Sith,[4] the eighth digital expansion to the massively multiplayer online role-playing game Star Wars: The Old Republic.[5]

After completing the final mission, "Retribution in the Rift," the player can receive mail from Captain Wo Kasto expressing his disapproval over a budding relationship forming between Mata and Minn Ishkah.[6]
