The Mark IV Locomotion System was a locomotion system produced by the company Everett. The R2 series astromech droid R2-D2 was equipped with an Everett Mark IV Locomotion System.[1]

Behind the scenes

In the current Star Wars canon, the Mark IV Locomotion System was first mentioned in the 2017 magazine Star Wars: Build Your Own R2-D2 1.[2] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the system was first mentioned in the 2006 reference book Star Wars: The Complete Visual Dictionary.[3]
