- "Listen, there's this raiding team, the Marek Crows. They're raking in the loot out there in Khepi space, and they're recruiting."
"Ooh, that's tempting!"
"No treasure's worth this. If you're serious about joining a real crew, meet me here tonight. " - ―Human Rokana Raider to a Sullustan raider
The Marek Crows was a group of pirates that operated in the Khepi system of Wild Space.[1] in 3 ABY.[2] During that year, the Crows sought to recruited new members. A human member of the rival pirate group the Rokana Raiders had heard about recruitment call and began planing to leave the Rokana's base in the Sayma Nebula to join Marek Crows.[1]
Before leaving they talked with a fellow member of the raider who was likewise getting disillusioned with the Rokana Raiders' focus on obtaining the treasure of the Khepi instead of simply raiding. Kay Vess eavesdropped on the discussion while was disguised as a Rokana Raider. She later visited the site of a raid by the Marek Crows in the Khepi system to search for any leftover loot.[1]
