The Maldrood Oversector, also known as Sector 12 or Greater Maldrood Sector, was the theater of operations of the Republic 12th Sector Army during the Clone Wars. After the Declaration of a New Order, it was reorganized in an Imperial Priority Sector and placed under the rule of Grand Moff Therbon.[1][2]

By the time of the Battle of Yavin, the area of operations of the aged Grand Moff Therbon still included Mon Calamari Space. After the Calamarian Revolt, Therbon grew frustrated with his inability to retake Mon Calamari and finally ordered the bombardment of Ruisto in 2 ABY.[3]

By the time of the Battle of Endor, the Greater Maldrood Sector was ruled by the Grand Moff Ambris Selit. After the death of Emperor Palpatine and the fragmentation of the Empire, High Admiral Treuten Teradoc put Grand Moff Selit under house arrest and took control of the Greater Maldrood. The oversector would become the basis of the territory of Warlord Teradoc's splinter faction.[4]
