- "In the end, you were right to leave. The map was more trouble than it was worth. I'm heading back to Champala. Won't be the life we used to dream about, but it'll at least be a fresh start."
- ―Part of Maj Aba's data message to Hella
Maj Aba was a pirate that raided shipping lanes along the Hydian Way hyperspace lane with captain Qorvino's group during the reign of Galactic Empire.
History
Maj Aba[1] resided on the Inner Rim[2] world Champala and eventually joined a pirate group led by captain Qorvino. While Aba was with the group during the reign of Galactic Empire, it raided shipping lanes along the Hydian Way hyperspace lane. Aba also cared for Qorvino's child, Hella, who eventually left the group sometime after Qorvino acquired a starmap supposedly leading to the lost tomb of the Khepi and its rumored treasure. During which the group operated from a cave in the Karaba Foothills region of the jungle planet Akiva before eventually relocating to an island on Lake Amari also on Akiva.[1]
After which the Aba decided to leave the group and make a fresh start on Champala. Before leaving however they composed a data message intended for Hella, in which they left the coordinates of the island hideout before going on to state that Hella was correct to leave and that the starmap had been more trouble than it was worth. They also detailed their plans to return to Champala and expressed their affection for Hella. Aba left the message on a datapad at the cave hideout where it remained[1] until at least 3 ABY[3] when the thief Kay Vess discovered it and using its contents to find the starmap buried near the island.[1]
