Magnetoshield was a type of shielding technology that could protect a starships nav systems from the effects of a Type 15A stellological phenomenon, such as the Sayma Nebula. During the Imperial Era professor Gil Orum hired locals at Hauler's Keep to help rig up improvised magnetoshields for their ship in order to allow their expedition team to penetrate the outer layers of the nearby Sayma nebula.[1]
Behind the scenes
Magnetoshields were mentioned in datapad that players could find as part of the "A Pirate's Fortune" expansion for the Massive Entertainment video game Star Wars Outlaws,[1] which was released on May 15, 2025.[2]
