Mag Zaroff was a fierce Force-sensitive humanoid Jedi hunter associated with the Galactic Empire. She could levitate objects to use against her prey and walked with calm confidence. Sometime during the Imperial Era, Zaroff hunted down a fugitive Jedi and teamed up with a group of bounty hunters to find the Jedi. At one point, she confronted the Jedi and a companion of theirs at a snowy location. Zaroff wore a long cloak with an Imperial crest and wielded a red lightsaber. She also possessed a ship.[1]

Behind the scenes

Mag Zaroff was mentioned in the reference book, The Art of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, which was written by Aaron Contreras, with a foreword by Jordan Lamarre-Wan, and published by Dark Horse Books[1] on November 19, 2019.[2] Mag Zaroff was a character conceived for the video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order[1] which was released on November 15, 2019.[3] Early in the game's development, she was imagined as the main antagonist. Ultimately, the antagonist became the Second Sister Inquisitor, although many of Zaroff's design characteristics were used for the Nightsister Merrin. Concept art of Zaroff was done by lead concept artists Jordan Lamarre-Wan and Gustavo Mendonca. In one set of concept art created by Mendonca, Zaroff was depicted in black armor with blade-like fingers, a black kama and a scabbard at the back of her armor to hold her lightsabers. The armor also came equipped with a black hood with the inside of it being red.[1]
