Behind the scenes

Mada Vangu, albeit unidentified, first appeared in "The Young Jedi," the first part of the first episode,^[1] as well as multiple other stories within the first batch of episodes, including "Yoda's Mission,"^[3] "The Junk Giant,"^[4] "The Jellyfruit Pursuit,"^[5] and "The Missing Kibbin," of the Disney+ and Disney Junior animated series Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures' first season.^[6] The episodes first aired on May 4, 2023.^[7] In 2024, "Battle for the Band," the first part of the sixth episode of the series' second season, identified the Ardennian as Mada Vangu.^[2] Being an original character for the animated series, Vangu was designed by artist Madi Hodges.^[8]
