- "We lost most of Squadron Five in the Lyjdaa system mess."
- ―Major Soran Keize
The Lyjdaa system was a star system[3] located in the Outer Rim Territories[1] and the New Territories,[2] within the Kwymar sector. It was situated in grid square Q-4 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] In the Lyjdaa system, Squadron Five of the Galactic Empire's 204th Imperial Fighter Wing took severe casualties six months before the mission to recover the Imperial Star Destroyer Celerity[3] in 4 ABY.[4] In the aftermath of the losses, Commander Teso Broosh transferred to Squadron Five as its new squadron commander, at the request of the 204th's Major Soran Keize.[3]
Behind the scenes
The Lyjdaa system was first mentioned in a flashback in the third issue of the Star Wars: TIE Fighter comic series, which was written by Jody Houser and published by Marvel Comics[3] on June 19, 2019.[5]
