Lump was an IG-series droid owned by the Ortolan shopkeeper Gamodar and used to protect his artifacts. Sometime after the establishment of the Galactic Empire, Iskat Akaris and the Grand Inquisitor came to remove Gamodar's collection. Lump was destroyed by Akaris while attempting to defend its master and his property.

Lump was an IG-series droid used as a security system by the artifact dealer Gamodar on the planet Bar'leth. Attached to the Ortolan's store counter by its torso and armed with several blasters, Lump served as a capable deterrent to shoplifters.[3] Sometime prior to 22 BBY,[4] Lump witnessed at least one visit to the shop by Jedi Master Sember Vey and her Padawan Iskat Akaris to trade with Gamodar for Jedi and Sith relics.[3]
Sometime between 19 and 14 BBY,[1] Akaris, now a member of the Inquisitorius, the Galactic Empire's Jedi-hunting organization, returned to the shop with the Grand Inquisitor to retrieve any remaining artifacts. Before they entered, Akaris briefed the Grand Inquisitor on Gamodar and his shop, as well as Lump's capabilities.[3]
Upon their entrance, Gamodar embraced Akaris but gave Lump a glance when she explained the purpose of her visit. Akaris noticed this and was certain that the Grand Inquisitor must have as well. Lump remained still but watched the interaction closely as Akaris attempted to convince Gamodar to hand over his artifacts to her and her superior, who issued a threat to the shopkeeper.[3]
Gamodar initially pretended to acquiesce to their demands and went down to the shop's basement storeroom. However, he did so to hide there while turning Lump on the two Inquisitors. Akaris smoothly reacted to the droid's impending attack by cutting off one of its arms via a lightsaber throw, then retrieved her weapon with the Force and sliced through its head and chest, destroying it. She went on to kill Gamodar shortly thereafter.[3]
Characteristics
Lump was constructed by Holowan Laboratories, like the rest of the IG-series,[2] and was covered in silver plating. Lump's programming allowed it to receive non-verbal commands.[3]
Equipment
Lump wielded multiple blasters with which to defend Gamodar's shop.[3]

Lump appeared in Delilah S. Dawson's novel Inquisitor: Rise of the Red Blade, which was published in 2023.[3]
