"You wouldn't think a fathier named Lucky Comet would lose me this many credits."
―A Rodian gambler, to Kay Vess — 20?cb=20250116042720 ▶️ (file info)[1]

Lucky Comet was a fathier who competed in a fathier race held in the city Canto Bight on the casino planet Cantonica[1] in 3 ABY. That year,[2] a Rodian gambler lost a number of credits betting on Lucky Comet from a fathier table located in the Alcazar cantina on the jungle planet Akiva.[1]

The Rodian was later approached by the outlaw Kay Vess, who was investigating the potential rigging of fathier races for Surat Nuat, the cantina's owner. During the conversation, the gambler mentioned their failed bets on Lucky Comet before Vess steered the conversation to learn the identity and location of Weirla, an Aqualish who had been winning big at the table.[1]

Behind the scenes

Lucky Comet was mentioned as part of the "Money Drop" quest in the 2024 video game Star Wars Outlaws, developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft.[1]
