Lucky was a beloved pet of the Kadas'sa'Nikto^[2] mechanic^[4] Neeku Vozo. Lucky died at some point, after which Vozo ate the pet and found^[3] him^[2] delicious.^[3] In 34 ABY,^[1] when Vozo was impressed by Resistance spy Kazuda Xiono's numerous possessions,^[3] he^[2] asked what a golden starship–shaped object was, so Xiono informed Vozo that it was his lucky trophy that reminded him of his home,^[3] the planet^[5] Hosnian Prime.^[4] Vozo responded that he had once had a pet named Lucky who reminded the Nikto of his own home,^[3] the planet^[6] Kintan,^[4] and mentioned the pet's death and subsequent consumption, but Xiono interrupted the Nikto before he could describe what happened after eating Lucky.^[3]

Behind the scenes

Lucky was first mentioned in "The Triple Dark,"^[3] the third episode of the first season of the animated television series Star Wars Resistance, which aired on October 14, 2018.^[7] The scene featuring Lucky's mention was previewed earlier in the year on August 29 in a featurette to introduce Team Fireball, which was posted on the official Star Wars YouTube channel.^[8] In Vanessa Rubio-Barreau's 2019 French junior novel Star Wars Resistance: Triples Ténèbres, he was referred to as "Tiboulon" instead.^[9]
