The Lowland Basin was an area of the Great Chott salt flat that included the Lars homestead and Tosche Station on Tatooine, a desert planet in the Outer Rim.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Lowland Basin first appeared in Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope though identified. It was first identified in the 2024 video game Star Wars Outlaws developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft. It is identified in the game by Imperial communications about the player's last seen location while they have a wanted level.[1]

The Lowland Basin was first identified in the Legends continuity in the 2003 video game, Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided, by Sony Online Entertainment and LucasArts.[2]
