Lorrd was an astronomical object[1] located in the Kanz sector's Lorrd system,[3] within the New Territories portion[2] of the Outer Rim Territories, situated at the coordinates N-4 on the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] During the rule of the Galactic Empire, it fell within Imperial space.[4] By 4 BBY,[5] the Freemarch, a rebel cell against the Empire which was led by the human Marilena Pet-and-Ella Alda Mattea, was active at Lorrd and the Corporate Sector.[4]
Being among of the largest rebel cells that operated in Imperial space, the Freemarch was vetted by Davits Draven, a general in a larger organized rebellion against the Empire secretly led by Senator Mon Mothma. Draven produced a classified document on the Freemarch and other major resistance groups operating in Imperial space for Mothma in hopes of convincing her to ally with them. The document was eventually included it in the compilation of non-electronic documents known as The Rebel Files by archivist Hendri Underholt.[4]
Behind the scenes
Lorrd was introduced into the current Star Wars canon in 2016 when it was included in a map in the Fantasy Flight Games roleplaying supplement Star Wars: The Force Awakens Beginner Game.[6]
