Loce was a celestial body[2] situated in the Loce system of Wild Space[1] that shared its name with the sentient near-Human Locan species. It was the homeworld of the young Locan Talas Piran.[2] At some point by 2 BBY,[3] Piran was captured by enslavers and taken from Loce, eventually being sold to a Galactic Empire–sanctioned company for which he was forced to log trees on the world Hintivan II[2] in the Outer Rim Territories' Corva sectors.[4]
Behind the scenes
Loce was mentioned in Alliance Intelligence Reports, a 1995 sourcebook for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[2] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas subsequently placed the Loce system, and therefore the celestial body itself, in grid square S-4.[1]
