Linenfiber was a type of fine textile used to make high-quality clothing on the Outer Rim planet Eiram by the time of the High Republic Era.[1] In 382 BBY,[2] the Eirami Prince Phan-tu Zenn wore a linenfiber tunic and vest while visiting his favorite Rayes Canal pier on Eiram. Though he offered his tunic to the desperate citizens there, they refused their prince's gesture, only accepting the other aid packages he had brought.[1]
Shortly afterward, after seeing a starfighter from the Outer Rim planet E'ronoh crash into the world's Erasmus Sea, Zenn stripped off his tunic and dove off the canal pier to rescue the E'roni Princess Xiri A'lbaran—the pilot trapped inside. After they swam back to shore together, A'lbaran took a moment to evaluate her rescuer, noticing his linenfiber vest hanging open. Once back in the royal palace, Zenn changed out of his linenfiber garments.[1]
Behind the scenes
Linenfiber appeared in Convergence, a novel written by Zoraida Córdova as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase II[1] that was published on November 22, 2022.[3] Prior to its release, the fabric's appearance was included in a preview for the novel released on the official Penguin Random House website[4] on October 4 of that year.[3]
