Light cruiser was a designation used for a variety of capital ships and warships in different classification systems.[2] The Chiss Ascendancy utilized light cruisers within the Chiss Expansionary Defense Fleet, with a pair of Chiss light cruisers participating in a battle over Sunrise against the Grysk Hegemony alongside a large Chiss fleet,[3] and two small light cruisers used by the Chiss Xodlak family within their family fleet.[4]
