Lieutenant Lepira was a Human male member of the Alliance Starfighter Corps' Gold Squadron during the Galactic Civil War. Flying as Gold Four, he was killed in the Battle of Yavin.
Biography
Lepira learned to fly a starfighter by racing in the Anoat system, before serving as a pilot and lieutenant in the Rebel Alliance.[3]
In 0 BBY, he was present in the Great Temple on Yavin 4 for General Jan Dodonna's briefing, where he sat next to Elyhek Rue and in front of Luke Skywalker and Wedge Antilles.[2] He subsequently flew an asteroid-pitted[4] BTL Y-wing starfighter under the call sign Gold Four, flying point for Gold Squadron during the Battle of Yavin and fending off Imperial fighters to clear a path for the Rebels to reach the Death Star's vulnerable exhaust port. Lepira and his astromech droid, R5-F7, were killed when their Y-wing was shot down in the battle.[1]
