Gold Four was the call sign of the fourth member of Gold Squadron. There were a number of starfighter squadrons with this name, and several pilots went by the call sign Gold Four.
History
The call sign was used by Rebel BTL Y-wing starfighter pilot Lieutenant Lepira during the Battle of Yavin.[1] Flying point for Gold Squadron,[4] Lepira was killed in the assault against the first Death Star with the rest of his squadron, save for Keyan Farlander.[5]
Later, an Alliance of Free Planets pilot designated Gold Four fought against Nagai forces in the Second Battle of Endor.[2]
During a simulation exercise to qualify for Wedge Antilles's new squadron, Tyria Sarkin of the New Republic used the call sign of Gold Four.[3]
