- "The Lenguin system is lovely, but there are no excursions planned for it, nor are we getting close enough to see the surface of any of their worlds. You should go there one day, though–there's an ice moon that is quite renowned for its sculptural architecture."
- ―Riyola Keevan, to Leia Organa
The Lenguin system,[2] also known as the Madurs system, was a star system in the Maldrood sector of the Mid Rim[1] near tthe border of the Outer Rim Territories. It contained a gas giant that was orbited by the ice moon Madurs.[2] In 4 ABY,[4] Princess Leia Organa and Han Solo had their honeymoon aboard the star cruiser Halcyon , where they hoped to have the ship travel to the Lenguin system in order to speak with Dreand Yens, the prime minister of Madurs, about siding with the New Republic so they could use Madurs as a source of fuel. Though the ship's captain, Oswin Dicto, was opposed to changing the route they were to take to Synjax, he eventually agreed after being persuaded by a combined effort of Solo and Organa, and they made their way to the system.[2]
