Behind the scenes

A lanvorak, albeit unnamed, first appeared in the current Star Wars canon in the fifth issue of the comic series Star Wars Adventures: Tales from Vader's Castle, written by Cavan Scott and illustrated by Derek Charm and Chris Fenoglio. The issue was released by IDW Publishing[1] on October 31, 2018.[3] It was first identified as such in the 2019 reference book Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary, written by Pablo Hidalgo.[2] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the Massassi lanvarok first appeared in the fourth issue of Dark Lords of the Sith story arc of the Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi series of comic books, written by Tom Veitch and Kevin J. Anderson, penciled by Chris Gossett,[4] and published on January 10, 1995.[5]
