The Lali system was a star system located within the Southern Core portion of[2] the Core Worlds.[1] The system was the origin point of the Lali Plague,[3][4] which had broken out at some point by 25 BBY.[5]

Behind the scenes

The Lali system was first mentioned in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, written by Jason Fry and Daniel Wallace, which placed the system in grid square L-13.[2]

The Essential Atlas and Galactic Cartography: Official Discussion (post by jasonfry) on the Jedi Council Forums' Literature board (December 11, 2007): "I wouldn't get your hopes up re alien homeworlds, beyond simple stuff like the Planetnamian species getting a Planetnamia on the map or things Dan and I can account for with a relatively quick reference." (backup link) (screenshot) Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas, stated his intention to create homeworlds for numerous species based on context implied from their names. Given this principle, this article makes a similar basic assumption for the Lali Plague in relation to the Lali system.
  5. The Essential Reader's Companion dates the events of Jedi Quest: The School of Fear, in which the Lali Plague is mentioned, to 25 BBY.
