Labor droids, also known as heavy-duty droid,[1] and worker droids,[2] were fifth-degree droids designed to perform menial labor duties. Many were assembled on Mechis III.

They were usually designed to have limited intelligence, but some models were upgraded and able to handle complex tasks without needing to go back to their owners for instructions.[3]

The first Death Star had these droids working in the central loading bay. The droid was known to be "unstoppable."[1]
