"It's a Kuati Signet. Blue kyber. Sky stone. The ancient world. Celebrates the uprising against the Rakatan invaders."
Luthen Rael, to Cassian Jeron Andor[1]

A Kuati Signet, also known as a sky kyber pendant, was a necklace made from a blue and white[1] sky kyber crystal.[2] The necklace celebrated the uprising against the Rakatan invaders and was possessed by Luthen Rael.[1] It shared its name with the Kuati group.[3]

In 5 BBY, Luthen Rael offered the Kuati Signet to Cassian Jeron Andor as a downpayment for his participation in the Aldhani heist, and requested he return it once the job was finished, given its own sentimental value to him. Andor jealousy kept it concealed on his person while he was staying with Vel Sartha's camp.[1]

Later, while Sartha's rebel group were making the trek towards the Aldhani dam, a suspicious Arvel Skeen pulled a knife on him and confiscated the sky kyber pendant for everyone else to see as proof that Andor was hiding his past. After a brief standoff, Skeen returned the pendant on Sartha's order.[2]

Following the heist's success, when what was left of Sartha's team made it to safety on the moon of Frezno, Andor tossed Sartha the Kuati Signet to return to Rael as he departed with his share of the money.[4]

Behind the scenes

Kuati Signet first appeared in "Aldhani," the fourth episode of the Disney+ television series Star Wars: Andor,[1] which aired on September 28, 2022.[5] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, Rakatan technology was powered by focusing crystals, which was then reverse-engineered by the formerly enslaved species of the Infinite Empire.[6]
