"All right, wish mommy luck. That blue milk you all drink isn't exactly cheap."
―Vukorah, to her tookas after arriving at Kirkeide Station[2]

Krynthia was a Loth-cat owned by the bounty hunter Vukorah around 3 ABY after she had left the Unbroken Clan criminal syndicate. When Vukorah traveled to register for work with the hybroid Syphacc at Kirkeide Station, Krynthia, along with the hunter's other tookas, accompanied her aboard her ship. The tookas and Vukorah later fought against the entity known as the Scourge on the planet Epikonia.

Biography

"We dare."
―Losha Tarkon, revealing her presence, and that of Vukorah and the tookas, to the Scourge[3]

Krynthia[4] was a Loth-cat[1] who lived during the Imperial Era.[2] Around 3 ABY,[5] they were among a[2] litter of cats acquired by[1] the human female Vukorah along with three other tookasFurball Two,[2] Losha,[4] and Purry[2]—after[1] Vukorah started a new life for herself[6] as a bounty hunter following[2] her decision to leave the Unbroken Clan criminal syndicate.[6] The tooka shared their name with Krynthia, a childhood friend of Vukorah's.[4]

Vukorah traveled aboard her ship to Kirkeide Station, where she hoped to sign up for work with Syphacc's Bountiful Bounties, which was run by the hybroid Syphacc. Krynthia and the three other tookas accompanied Vukorah. When they arrived at the station, Vukorah told the cats to wish her luck, adding that the blue milk they all drank was not cheap.[2] Shortly afterward, Vukorah helped[3] the bounty hunter Losha Tarkon[1] defeat droids that had been corrupted by an entity known as the Scourge. Following this, the tookas and the two hunters left the station aboard Vukorah's ship to travel to[3] the world[1] Epikonia in order to rescue Tarkon's wife T'onga, as well as her friends, from the Scourge.[3]

After arriving on Epikonia, they made their way to where T'onga was being held captive, with the tookas—including Krynthia—carrying a thermal detonator within their mouths. After the cats set off the grenades, they began attacking cyborgs that had also been infected by the Scourge and[3] spider-droids.[7] Vukorah commended her pets' actions, telling them they were "good kitties" and that they would be rewarded with treats. Once T'onga and her friends had been saved, Vukorah and the tookas left Epikonia.[3]

Personality and traits

"Such good kitties! Mama's gonna give you all the treats!"
―Vukorah, to her tookas as they attack the Scourged cyborgs and spider-droids[3]

Krynthia had silver skin,[2] black eyes,[3] lilac fur with dusty gold-colored accents, and a paler underbelly. They liked to drink blue milk.[2] As Krynthia and the rest of Vukorah's tookas attacked the Scourged cyborgs and spider-droids on Epikonia, Vukorah called them good cats and informed them that she would reward them with treats.[3]

Behind the scenes

"I don't remember ever labeling which was which, but among the other cats is a Losha and a Krynthia (Vukorah's childhood friend and Cadeliah's mom)"
―Ethan Sacks, revealing Krynthia's name[4]

Krynthia first appeared, albeit unidentified, in the thirty-ninth issue of the 2020 comic series Star Wars: Bounty Hunters. The issue was written by Ethan Sacks, illustrated by Davide Tinto, and published by Marvel Comics[2] on October 4, 2023.[8] Sacks later revealed the tooka's name on Twitter, but added that he had not labeled which tooka was which.[4]
