"It's got everything I asked for?"
"Path engine is active and updated with the latest codes. The comms have our contact programmed in already so we can—"
―Krix Kamerat and Bledloe Seven, on the ship[1]

A starship was owned by the Nihil marauder organization during the High Republic Era. In 228 BBY, the starship was given to the former human commander of the Nihil, Krix Kamerat, on the planet Corellia by the Gotal Nihil Bledloe Seven at Kamerat's request, which he planned to use to infiltrate the Nihil flagship Gaze Electric as part of a bigger scheme to assassinate the Eye of the Nihil Marchion Ro.

Once onboard the ship, Kamerat departed from Corellia and contacted Alys "Crash" Ongwa of the Supreme Coronet City Diplomat Protection to rendezvous with him inside the Occlusion Zone, a region of space controlled by the Nihil, before meeting up with the Dug Nihil Crank Flat on the flagship. The attempted assassination ultimately played out, with the scheme failing in the end and Kamerat being killed.

Description

The Nihil starship was equipped with two engines, along with a path engine,[1] a specialized kind of hyperdrive which could use paths[2] to traverse across the Stormwall,[1] a barrier created by the Nihil,[3] into the Nihil controlled area of space known as the Occlusion Zone. The ship's hull was gray with blue panels covering parts of it, contained two headlights on the front, and had four red lights fitted onto it, two on the front of the ship and two on the backside of the outermost wings. The interior of the ship had a gray cockpit surrounded by multiple control panels, along with three beige-colored seats. The starship had access to a hologram, and was equipped with a communications system.[1]

History

Preparing to depart

"Krix to Bledloe Seven. I'm out. Ready the ship!"
―Krix Kamerat, ordering Bledloe Seven on a headset to prepare his ship[1]

During the High Republic Era, the starship was owned by the Nihil marauder organization.[1] In 228 BBY,[4] the former human commander of the Nihil, Krix Kamerat, had contacted the Gotal Nihil Bledloe Seven to bring him two separate ships to[1] the planet[5] Corellia, with one ship being fitted with a path engine holding all current codes to cross the Stormwall and equipped with the personal contact of[1] the Dug[6] Nihil Crank Flat,[1] a ranking officer[7] onboard[1] the Nihil flagship[2] Gaze Electric. Kamerat furthermore instructed Seven to await for his confirmation to ready both ships for departure. Seven,[1] along with Flat,[6] were both unaware that Kamerat was no longer a member of the Nihil, along with his true intentions of assassinating the Eye of the Nihil, Marchion Ro.[1]

Following a heated argument on Corellia with members of the Supreme Coronet City Diplomat Protection, led by Alys "Crash" Ongwa, in relation to a failed attempt at assassinating Ro, Kamerat walked away from the crew after one member, the Dowutin Fezzonk, argued that the idea of Kamerat's "face-to-face" plan on eliminating Ro would ultimately fail. Before departing, Crash claimed that the crew had no other options left, with Kamerat believing Ongwa had agreed to his plan. Kamerat then adjusted himself before contacting Seven through a headset on his ear, alerting the Gotal to prepare his ship.[1]

The two eventually met up as they made their way to the ships, with Seven stating how much of an honor it was to operate with Kamerat, along with how he learned about his heroism during the destruction of[1] the space station[2] Starlight Beacon[1] two years prior.[8] Kamerat dismissed the remarks before Seven pointed out his ship, apologizing for it not being too stylish. Seven continued by stating how ever since the Nihil were massacred on Corellia, the marauders had dwindled on the planet to a low number, with both ships being the only ones they had available for Kamerat.[1]

The former commander queried to Seven if the starship had all the requests he asked from him, with the Nihil confirming the ship had a path engine attached to it with all current and updated codes for crossing the Stormwall, along with the contact of Crank Flat programmed inside the ship. As Seven mentioned the word "we" in his discussion, Kamerat interrupted and confirmed that only he would be departing in the ship, furthermore ordering Seven stay put on Corellia for several hours before directing Crash and her crew to the other ship. Seven attempted to protest to Kamerat on how Ongwa would kill him due to her hatred towards Nihil, but Kamerat had already closed the boarding ramp on the starship and had begun to take off from the planet.[1]

Arriving on the Gaze

"Gotta run! The comms will drop out soon, because… I'm about to cross the Stormwall!!"
―Krix Kamerat to Crash Ongwa, as he pilots his ship into the Occlusion Zone[1]

Back on Corellia, Seven eventually informed Crash on Kamerat's departure to the Gaze Electric and the other ship left over for her to pick him up,[7] which led her to contact Kamerat via hologram in shock while he was situated in his ship above Corellia. Informing her on how pleased he was at her reaching out to him, Crash questioned what Kamerat was doing, which led him to explain that he was beginning the plan to assassinate Ro that the two had agreed upon at the meeting, which first involved getting the attention of[1] the Evereni.[3] He then questioned if Crash had received the "present" that was the other ship.[1]

Crash then defended herself by stating she did not agree with Kamerat, before questioning to him what she would do with the other ship that Kamerat requested for. Kamerat rhetorically questioned how obvious the answer to her inquiry was before responding that it would be used for rescuing him from the Occlusion Zone. Kamerat continued by affirming that Seven would detail where he would be heading to Ongwa. He then announced how he would be taking off, and how the communications to the ship would cut off as he would be crossing the Stormwall. As he jumped into hyperspace with his ship, Crash attempted to mutter Kamerat's name, before it ultimately cut short.[1]

After jumping out of hyperspace, Kamerat attempted to signal Crank Flat aboard the Gaze Electric while inside the Occlusion Zone through his ship, ultimately failing to get a clear connection repeatedly. Eventually, Crank Flat was able to patch in and iterated[1] he[6] would attempt to try speaking again. Flat then gave the approval for Kamerat to take his ship towards the port side entry of the Gaze Electric and dock in section seven. The Dug continued by expressing congratulations to Kamerat, welcoming him back to the Gaze Electric.[1]

Abandoned ship

"Why did you have Crash come get you when we could've just left on the ship you came on?"
"I thought we might need some backup… and I was right!!"

Once docked, Kamerat exited his starship from its boarding ramp and attempted to make his way towards Crank Flat, before eventually finding the Dug. Together, they managed to get passed two of Ro's servants who they tied up,[6] before attempting to get Ro's attention by moving the Stormwall over the planet Eriadu. At some point, the plan went awry, which led Kamerat and Flat to run for their lives from the Nihil, who began to blast the two as they ran through the Gaze Electric. While running, Kamerat attempted to contact Crash through a comlink, who ended up coming through and queried what he did. Kamerat interrupted her by addressing there was no time to answer her question, furthermore demanding she pick him up at Docking Bay 8.[7]

As the two ran through the halls, Flat questioned why the two were relying on Crash to rescue them instead of utilizing Kamerat's ship to escape. The former Nihil acknowledged by saying that he believed they most likely would have required some sort of backup on their current mission, before confirming himself to be correct. The two ultimately found Crash, her crew and her ship, with Kamerat abandoning Flat to the Nihil as he ran onboard. The crew, along with Kamerat, then departed from the docking bay and jumped into hyperspace. Not long after, Ro contacted Kamerat and allowed him the time to meet with him, which led Kamerat to continue with his assassination attempt on his own after resistance from Crash and her crew, that ultimately failed and led to the former Nihil's death.[7]
