Koyi Mateil was a Twi'lek female socialite[1] native to the[2] planet[3] Ryloth[2] who lived on the planet Coruscant during the last years of the Galactic Republic.[1] Mateil was the consort of Duke Teta[2] and was often in his company despite the difference in their ages. She secretly schemed to steal Teta's wealth[1] and abscond should he die.[2]
In 19 BBY,[4] the Twi'lek visited the Galaxies Opera House[5] in the Uscru Entertainment District of Coruscant.[6] She walked up the stairs of the building with Teta as the Jedi Anakin Skywalker ran up the stairs past them to meet up with Supreme Chancellor Palpatine inside.[5] Matiel had light skin, brown eyes, and artificially dyed lekku meant to make her appear more Human.[1] She wore a silver headpiece and an evening dress with a beaded bodice.[7]
