Koyi Mateil

Koyi Mateil was a Twi'lek female socialite^[1] native to the^[2] planet^[3] Ryloth^[2] who lived on the planet Coruscant during the last years of the Galactic Republic.^[1] Mateil was the consort of Duke Teta^[2] and was often in his company despite the difference in their ages. She secretly schemed to steal Teta's wealth^[1] and abscond should he die.^[2]

In 19 BBY,^[4] the Twi'lek visited the Galaxies Opera House^[5] in the Uscru Entertainment District of Coruscant.^[6] She walked up the stairs of the building with Teta as the Jedi Anakin Skywalker ran up the stairs past them to meet up with Supreme Chancellor Palpatine inside.^[5] Matiel had light skin, brown eyes, and artificially dyed lekku meant to make her appear more Human.^[1] She wore a silver headpiece and an evening dress with a beaded bodice.^[7]

She is incorrectly identified as Koyi Komad in the photo costume gallery in the rear of the Dressing a Galaxy: The Costumes of Star Wars book.
