«You choose to live in the forest. I am part of it
«Life with the
korrinas has certainly taught you humility, princess.»
«What? No, I did not intend—you are brave, Meedro…»

Korrinas were an entity found within the forests of[1] the Outer Rim[2] Forest Moon of Endor.[1] By 4 ABY,[3] the Ewok Asha Fahn[4]daughter of the Ewok Bright Tree Village Chief Chirpa—lived with the korrinas during her time living in seclusion from the village.[1]

That year,[3] Fahn and the Ewok[1] warrior[5] Meedro sought to cross Endless Lake to rescue the Ewok[1] Wicket Wystri Warrick,[6] who had been taken hostage by a group of Imperials. Fahn called and communed with a condor dragon to carry them over the lake, and as they rode the condor dragon, Meedro informed Fahn that[1] he[5] was impressed with what she had done. She then told him that while he chose to live in the forest, she was part of it, to which Meedro noted her time living with the korrinas had taught her humility. Fahn responded by stating she had not intended to criticize him and that she thought he was brave.[1]

Behind the scenes

Korrinas were mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in the third issue of the 2024 comic series Star Wars: Ewoks. The issue was written by Steve Orlando and published by Marvel Comics[1] on December 18, 2024.[7]

In the Star Wars Legends continuity, korrinas were wolf-like[8] creatures that found and raised the Ewok Asha after she disappeared when her mother Ra-Lee was killed. The creatures first appeared in "Asha,"[9] the thirteenth episode in the first season of the animated television series Ewoks, which premiered on November 30, 1985.[10]
