Korfo II was a celestial body[2] located in the Korfo system. It was a part of the Arrowhead, the Slice portion of the Core Worlds. Korfo II lay on the Commenor Run hyperlane, which linked it to the Cirius and Tepasi systems.[1] It shared its name with the Imperial Bank of Korfo II, and during the Galactic Civil War, the Galactic Empire maintained the position of Imperial Liaison Officer to Korfo II, with Lieutenant Pandur holding the position at one point.[2]
Behind the scenes
Korfo II was introduced in Galaxy Guide 4: Alien Races, a 1989 sourcebook authored by Troy Denning for use with West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[2] "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, How I Wonder Where We Are," a 1990 roleplaying game source article published in the thirteenth issue of the Voyages SF magazine, placed Korfo II in the "Imperial Core" sector. Since that article was released outside of the Lucas Licensing process,[3] it was considered non-canonical with respect to the Star Wars Legends continuity.[4] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas later placed the Korfo system, and therefore Korfo II, in grid square M-9.[1]
