Klinith Da was a human female pirate who held the rank of Strike in Kassav's Tempest within the Nihil during the High Republic Era. Klinith and fellow Nihil pirate Gwishi were dispatched to sabotage the starship Steady Wing as it left the outpost of Port Haileap. By succeeding in her mission, Klinith hoped to receive a promotion within the Nihil's ranks.[2]
Biography
In 232 BBY,[4] Klinith Da and Gwishi, an Aqualish member of the Nihil, arrived in Port Haileap aboard a stolen cargo hauler. Sent by the Nihil to destroy the Steady Wing, a massive cruiser carrying multiple Republic dignitaries, she and Gwishi boarded the ship, disguised as mechanics. Immediately, Klinith headed for the escape pods in an attempt to destroy them so as to leave no survivors. There, she encountered a droid, which she destroyed with a hydrospanner after it became suspicious of her activities. After the Steady Wing's explosion, she and Gwishi found themselves on the moon of Wevo, where they were tasked with ensuring that none of the cruiser's surviving passengers survived. After some time, Vernestra Rwoh and Imri Cantaros overheard a conversation between two Nihil and then told the others. Driven by anger and a thirst for revenge, Imri convinced Honesty Weft to help him kill the Nihil who had led to the deaths of his father and his Jedi Master. They went together to their ship, but were quickly captured. Vernestra, seeing the boys' disappearance, went with Avon Starros and J-6 to rescue them. The Jedi Knight managed to overpower Klinith and Gwishi and push Imri away, who was so consumed with revenge that he later challenged her to a duel. Earlier, the Padawan had nearly strangled the pink-haired Nihil with the Force, but Vern managed to restrain him. During the clash, Jedi J-6 kept a close eye on the bound pirates to ensure they couldn't free themselves. Shortly after, representatives of the Republic and the Jedi Order arrived to the children's aid after receiving a signal from Starros and Weft. The Nihili were captured by their enemy's forces.[2]
In 228 BBY she was on board of Lightning Crash when she saw the disguised Avon again. When she tried to stop her, Avon shot her with a poisoned nail, and let her die.
Personality and traits
Klinith Da had magenta hair, tattoos, and multiple piercings, including a complex silver-wire piercing wound into her lower lip. She wore a green jacket, gray pants, fingerless gloves, and had a blaster holstered on each leg.[2]

Notes and references
- ↑ Star Wars: Timelines dates Starlight Beacon's destruction to 230 BBY. The implementation of the Guardian Protocols, which Star Wars: The High Republic Character Encyclopedia places in 229 BBY, took place one week after Starlight Beacon's fall according to The High Republic – Shadows of Starlight 1. As The High Republic Adventures (2023) 4 takes place one year and two weeks after the destruction of Starlight Beacon, it must be set in 228 BBY. Since the events of The High Republic Adventures (2023) 6 are set immediately following the fourth issue and depict the expansion of the Stormwall, the expansion must have taken place in the same year. Meanwhile, the events of "Tales from the Occlusion Zone: No Big Deal" include the Stormwall's expansion and also depict the start of Pikka Adren's pregnancy. A later story, "Tales from the Occlusion Zone: Sparks Fly," states that Adren is eight months pregnant during its events, indicating that it is set eight months after "No Big Deal," and therefore one year, eight months, and two weeks after the fall of Starlight Beacon. "Sparks Fly" is set during the Battle of Eriadu, an event that begins in The High Republic Adventures Phase III - The Wedding Spectacular. As
Star Wars: The High Republic Chronological Reader's Guide on StarWars.com (article) (backup link) places The High Republic: Defy the Storm between the events of "No Big Deal" and The Wedding Spectacular, its events must also be set in 228 BBY. As such, its events, including the death of Klinith Da aboard Lightning Crash, must take place in 228 BBY.
