"Ignore that fool. If he manages to survive this ordeal Darth Vader will likely deal with his failures personally."
Guri, to a spacer[1]

Klex Fulgor was a Human male Imperial Inquisitor who lived during the Galactic Civil War.

Biography

"Look...we did all we could here. It all happened so quickly."
―Klex Fulgor, to a spacer[1]

After the Battle of Yavin, Inquisitor Klex Fulgor was based at the Imperial Research and Prison Facility on the planet Dathomir.[1]

In 1 ABY,[2] an accident took place in the research facility. The Blackwing virus that was studied there escaped containment and decimated most of the people in the area, turning them into cannibalistic undead creatures. In response, the Galactic Empire promptly established a Quarantine Zone to contain the infection.[3] The few people who survived the initial virus outbreak, including Fulgor,[1] were trapped in the Quarantine Zone. The survivors established camps in order to to repel the regular assaults of the zombies and try to live in safety while waiting for an evacuation.[3]

Klex Fulgor took shelter in Camp Epsilon, the most unsafe camp since it was located in the courtyard of the Imperial Research and Prison Facility, the place where lived the most dangerous undeads.[1] Other survivors in the camp at that time included the former prisoner Zsu Val[4], the technician Sogan Varga,[5] the mechanic Nils Cridmeen,[6] and the stormtroopers GT-643, KD-121 and HX-138.[7]

At some point, the camp was visited by a group of spacers who pretended to be charged with a secret mission for Darth Vader himself. They needed to get access the Imperial Research Facility in order to recover an original sample of the Blackwing virus. Inquisitor Fulgor then accepted to help the spacers to find a way to access the facility.[1] The spacers survived to their exploration of the research facility and finally came back to Camp Epsilon. In the meantime, Nils Cridmeen was able to repair a Lambda-class shuttle present in the camp. The refugees of Camp Epsilon and the spacers eventually escaped the Quarantine Zone altogether with the shuttle.[8]

Personality and traits

Klex Fulgor was fairly dismissive, telling a group of spacers he had no time for small talk. Despite this, however, his attention was grabbed at threats, as portrayed when the group of spacers threatened Klex that they had been sent by Darth Vader. He ended up cooperating with them after they showed an authorization code, unknowingly helping the Rebel Alliance. As a result Captain Piett ensured that Klex would be punished for his insolence.[1]

  2. The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
