Kingberries were a type of berry cultivated on the Outer Rim planet Hetzal Prime, an agriworld known for producing food.[1] In 232 BBY,[2] kingberries were in season at the same time as honeyfruit and ice melons—two other types of fruit—and were cultivated on vine-laden terraces.[1] That year,[2] the Hetzal system's minister—Zeffren Ecka—noticed harvester droids at work picking honeyfruit, kingberries, and ice melons while staring out his office's window, mentally noting that something else would be in season by the next month.[1]
Behind the scenes
Kingberries appeared in Light of the Jedi, a 2021 novel written by Charles Soule as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase I.[3]
