KV-222 was[2] a human[1] stormtrooper of the Galactic Empire who, along with KA-336, served as a personal guard of[2] Lieutenant Commander[3] Sabé[2] between 3 ABY and 4 ABY.[4] When Sabé departed on a mission to assassinate the Skakoan[2] nationalist[5] Jul Tambor, the guards made bets between themselves about whether or not she would survive the mission. Four days later, the two were confronted by their commander about the incident, though in reality it was not Sabé, but instead the former handmaiden Dormé disguised as Sabé. After the troopers revealed the truth about what they were doing, Dormé asked them what they had spoken about her mission, to which they had mentioned that Sabé was heading out on the orders of Darth Vader in disguise and alone to assassinate Tambor.[2]
Sometime later, Vader summoned the disguised Dormé to a room where he stood with his lightsaber drawn and both guards on their knees on the floor, claiming that the guards had failed their commander and the Empire. After Vader questioned Dormé about what she would do to the troopers, they begged to her they had not. Vader then informed the troopers that their commander was going to kill them, and they tried to grab an E-11 medium blaster rifle to stop her. Dormé reached the weapon first and after a brief struggle, she shot the two troopers, though she did not kill them.[2]
