Between 3 ABY and 4 ABY,[4] Imperial Lieutenant Commander Sabé was sent on a mission to[1] the planet[6] Brentaal IV by the Sith Lord Darth Vader to assassinate the Skakoan[1] nationalist[2] Jul Tambor who was attempting to overthrow the Skakoan Council on Skako Minor. Unable to convince him to abandon his stand against the Empire when she expressed her fear of what Vader would do to his people in retaliation, Sabé shot Tambor[1] in a non-fatal manner to prevent his attack on the Imperial garrison on Skako Minor. When Sabé expressed her reasoning, Tambor resolved to kill Vader himself before he moved to reclaim Skako Minor, capturing Sabé to lure Vader to him.[3]
