John Jympson was the editor of the "Lost Cut", the first edit of Star Wars. George Lucas didn't like his work and he was fired, and the film was subsequently re-edited by editors Paul Hirsch, Marcia Lucas, and Richard Chew prior to release in 1977.[1]
