"I warned him not to, but my brother's childhood friend joined the rebels. When her squad needed a hot exit out of Tatooine, my brother helped them."
"And I'm guessing the Hutts found out. Not good."
"They've been holding it over us as blackmail, and now they're threatening to send it to the Imperials."
―Jado Halcyr's sibling to Kay Vess[1]

Jado Halcyr was a male fathier jockey from the planet Tatooine who rode the fathier Sandstorm in the Canto Cup, a fathier race that took place in the city Canto Bight on the planet Cantonica.[1] Prior to 3 ABY,[2] Halcyr helped his childhood friend and her rebel squad leave Tatooine. However members of the Hutt Cartel later came in possession of files which proved Halcyr assistance to the rebels and used it as blackmail material against Halcyr to fix fathier races.[1]

In 3 ABY,[2] the scoundrel Kay Vess overheard Halcyr's sibling complaining about the Hutts in the Tatooine city of Mos Eisley. After approaching the sibling and learning of the blackmail situation, Vess offered to help. She later made her way to the Hutt Cartel Outpost in the Great Chott salt flat region of Tatooine where she located and erased the information. After returning to Halcyr's sibling to share the good news, Vess bet on a race via hologram which included Halcyr.[1]

Behind the scenes

Jado Halcyr appeared in the 2024 video game Star Wars Outlaws developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft. They are part of the optional "Family Story" intel quest. After completing the quest the player will be able to bet on Halcyr in Fathier races. Unlike most other jockeys that are featured in the Fathier Racing activity, Halcyr is always assigned to ride Sandstorm. However the color of their uniform and riding symbol are still randomized.[1]
