- "You ever hear of Dersonn III? Or the Iti Cluster colonies?"
"Weren't they destroyed?"
"Right, that's because Hanharr happened." - ―Mira and the Jedi Exile
The Iti Cluster was a star cluster[3] situated in the Tammuz sector,[1] within the Slice portion of[2] the Outer Rim Territories.[1] At one point, the Wookiee bounty hunter and enslaver Hanharr, who had previously been enslaved himself and harbored a hatred for other living beings, particularly Humans, caused the destruction of the population of colonies in the cluster.[3]
In 3951 BBY,[4] the bounty hunter Mira relayed Hanharr's involvement with the Iti Cluster to the Jedi Knight known as the Jedi Exile, who had previously heard of the destruction of the astronomical object's population.[3]
Behind the scenes
The Iti Cluster was first mentioned in the 2004 Obsidian Entertainment video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. In the game, the star cluster can be mentioned in an optional conversation the player character, the Jedi Exile, can have with Mira after the former has made a light side of the Force–aligned choice regarding the latter and Hanharr and after Mira has joined their crew as a result. This article assumes one hundred percent game completion—as well as that the player character makes only light side–aligned choices—and that the conversation took place as described.[3] The StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry placed the Iti Cluster in grid square T-14.[1]
