Ironwood was a type of wood. While living amongst the planet Mustafar's irontrees as a pilgrim to the Fortress Vader ruins and a colonist of the nearby Corvax Fen, an Alazmec of Winsit Sith cultist wielded an improvised club made of ironwood.[1] In 35 ABY,[2] the cultist used the ironwood club when Supreme Leader Kylo Ren of the First Order attacked their group, but was quickly killed by Ren, along with the rest of the cultists.[3]
Behind the scenes
Ironwood first appeared in the J.J. Abrams' 2019 film Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker.[3] It was identified on the same day[4][5] by the film's visual dictionary, written by Pablo Hidalgo.[1] Ironwood originated in the 1996 Star Wars Legends novel Shield of Lies, written by Michael P. Kube-McDowell.[6]
