An intelligence chief was a leading intelligence officer of an organization.[2] Within the Galactic Empire, intelligence chiefs were the highest ranking Imperial intelligence personnel within the various agencies and bureaus of the Empire. Vice Admiral Dodd Rancit of the Naval Intelligence Agency was an intelligence chief, as was Vice Admiral Terrinald Screed.[1] COMPNOR had multiple intelligence chiefs,[4] with the COMPNOR agency Imperial Security Bureau's Deputy Director Harus Ison being one such intelligence chief, as well as ISB Director Wullf Yularen. Intelligence chiefs sat on the Joint Chiefs of the Imperial Military.[5]
The Alliance to Restore the Republic also used the title, with General Davits Draven of the Rebel Alliance Intelligence Service serving as an intelligence chief within Massassi Group.[2] The Alliance's successor state, the New Republic continued use of the title, with Lieutenant Ardo Barodai of Fleet Intelligence serving as intelligence chief aboard the flagship Temperance.[3]
